Jeffrey Epstein bought a more modest island - the Little St James - back in the late 1990s, but acquired the larger Great St James in 2016 for approximately $22.5 million.
This visual evidence indicate he had formulated development schemes to transform the substantial island by building homes, an amphitheatre, an office beneath the waves and a pool.
