Nearly 135 days following the previous coach's initial media briefing as the club's manager, his replacement Danny Rohl met with reporters at Rangers' stadium for the initial occasion.

The scale of the task ahead of him is well known, given his predecessor's turbulent and disappointing 123-day tenure.

The ex- Wednesday manager was accompanied by chairman the chairman, along with the frequently questioned pair of football director Thelwell and chief executive Patrick Stewart.

But what exactly did we learn from the 36-year-old coach's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

The Manager's Main Priority - Winning Comes First

A single message came through loud and clear from the new coach's initial presentation before the Scottish media - he recognizes the necessity to secure victories, and do so quickly.

The previous manager Martin managed just 17 matches and four months in charge, so the question arose about how long the new man thinks is realistic to transform the underperforming team.

While skillfully sidestepping a specific response that could bring future pressure, Rohl's communication was quite clear.

"With hope very quickly," he stated. "This is crucial.
"In this business you have limited time. One can talk about future plans but it's understood it concerns the short-term and the short-term is about winning games. That is what I demand.
"Another aspect remains clear - I require every squad member to understand how we want to play. I return to my primary message: it's winning, entertaining football and unity. By following this sequence, I'm convinced that I will remain for years here."

Expectations are Normal

Martin required security protection to leave the Falkirk Stadium after his last match as manager.

We've seen how hostile environments can become at football clubs when results decline. Protests have nearly become a regular aspect of game day atmosphere on both sides of the city currently.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the question asked about which attributes Rohl believes he has that would enable him to handle, let alone thrive, in among the most pressurized positions in British football?

"In my opinion pressure in this business is normal," he stated. "One needs to understand that very quickly.
"I think some people might mention my youth but I'm a decade and a half in this career. I experienced an excellent chance to be at the German club and be only an assistant coach, but I felt what it means to manage a team and the demands you face.
"When you start getting results and then certain people will say you must play attractive football. That's the next stage but that's exactly my intention. I enjoy those expectations and I'm excited about the future."

The Sporting Director Defends Chermiti Signing & Appointing His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had numerous inquiries from the media for Thelwell.

Significant attention has concerned the hiring of Robbie Thelwell as recruitment chief, with supporters skeptical about his qualifications for the role.

Nevertheless, he defended and explained the choice to recruit his son to the club.

"It remains uncomfortable to listen and in appearance I think we all agreed when we took this step to hire him that he'd be seen negatively," Thelwell said.
"The truth of the situation is that we aim to attract the very best players to this club.
"My view on Robbie's career and situation is he required no family help in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as head scout, he then joined Norwich as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Before we recruited him, two Premier League teams sought to sign him. What we did right at the start of proceedings was consult with the CEO, Andrew and deputy chairman Paraag Marathe about this situation.
"I was highly transparent and I think Robbie probably experienced a more rigorous procedure than any other who's employed by this football club.
"I'm certain is that he'll labor constantly to be successful for this football club and I anticipate to him demonstrating that he's going to be an excellent staff member for Rangers."

Thelwell also supported the acquisition of striker Youssef Chermiti, who arrived at the club for a reported initial fee of £8m, after failing to score in 24 games for Everton.

It was Thelwell who transferred the Portuguese young international to Liverpool from Sporting - again for large funds in a £15m transfer.

He was asked if he stands by his expensive signing, who is yet to register in seven outings for the club.

"Absolutely, completely," Thelwell responded. "I think the striker represents who's possesses huge potential.
"I've never questioned him whatsoever. Similarly, I believe Danny will assist in maximize the potential out of Youssef.
"It's very initial stages for him, he's a young talent and of course with young talents they occasionally require patience.
"However, I'm convinced over the course of his career at the club he'll demonstrate that he's a very, very good footballer."

The CEO Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Anger

Stewart was also in the media scrutiny, given the vitriol that has been directed at him by some of the club's own supporters.

Additionally, there was a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last draw with United suggesting him - and the sporting director - to depart before they were packed for him.

Like his sporting director, Stewart didn't evade the topic.

"I totally appreciate the disappointment and anger that the supporters are experiencing because results recently haven't been good enough and no one is happy with them," he stated.
"The hurt and frustration they feel is mirrored within the leadership.
"Also understand that there has to be an outlet for that dissatisfaction and in my role, I'm responsible.
"I serve as focal point for those and my responsibility as a
